Lake Salvador

Lake Salvador is a large, freshwater lake located in Jefferson and St. Charles Parishes in Louisiana, United States. It covers an area of approximately 47,000 acres and is part of the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary. The lake is fed by the Mississippi River and several smaller tributaries, and was formed by the construction of a levee system in the 1930s.
Lake Salvador is known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with popular species including largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and more. The lake also provides important habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal species, including waterfowl, wading birds, alligators, and others.
